Rocio Martinez - Haute Couture? no way
only a word: boring.
Makeup, hair boring ,the music is not ok, The background was amazing just
can I say. I thought be great but no.
Kevin Andrew - We went from extreme extravagance (Galliano) to overt minimalism (Simons).
Crazy.
La Femme Italienne - I miss my Dior a la Galliano! It is the end of an era.....
miniwheat09 - Most people have it in their heads that this is a bad collection. I'm not
even the hugest fan of Raf Simon and I will say that what he does for Dior
is essentially the antithesis of what Galliano did and that is what makes
it exciting. Fashion likes extremes and an extreme change like that one is
enough to keep people interested for a little while. The other thing that
will probably keep Raf at the helm of the brand is that if you get over the
fact that he is not John Galliano and look at the clothing, EACH INDIVIDUAL
PIECE, you will see that it is very salable and that women want to wear
those clothes. I imagine that the clothes he makes especially at the
couture level sell much better than Galliano's. Galliano- Inspirational,
Simons- Aspirational and there is indeed a difference when we talk about a
business.
Bette B. - I simply adore this collection (except for the fur-mantels, but to each
their own). Just because it is not big, colourful, hung with jewelry, or
lots of embroidery etc. That is not what Haute Couture stands for. I
personally don't like to see clothes that are more suitable for theatre or
the circus. Haute Couture is the creation of exclusive custom-fitted
clothing, It's fashion that is constructed by hand (without the use of
sewing machines and sergers/overlockers) from start to finish, made from
high quality, expensive, often unusual fabric and sewn with extreme
attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable
seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. So HC
doesn't mean bombastic/over-the-top. =)
Jon Dawson - The clothes were actually amazing and beautiful. But what overshadowed it
was that there was an unnecessary amount of looks (over 60 I believe), the
presentation was awful and messy and the music was bloody shocking. It
could have been incredibly beautiful and the clothes individually were, but
instead it became just an ugly, boring presentation
Jane Adler - Fuck yeah Sonic Youth!
Song List- Providence, Making The Nature Scene, Teenage Riot,Death Valley
'69, Flower, Bull In The Heather, and Into The Groovy (which is their side
project Ciccone Youth). Guess you could say I'm a "fan".
Layla Rose - I'm so loving this collection. I give this an A+
Guss Aguilar - the presentation was honestly messy. i loved the background. the music was
a huge distraction, like the presentation.
but here is my opinion regarding the COLLECTION.
the clothes ARE BEAUTIFUL. raf sure knows what he is doing when its comes
to execution and details. but with raf's aesthetic and the classic dior
look. it just doesn't truly work. I know the honchos at dior want a new
look, but minimalism is too simple for dior. Raf just needs to bring more
vibrancy and extravagance in his couture shows.
Eduardo Zuniga - The collection its beautiful. The shoes amazing. Very wearable BUT this
dont look like couture. Its very simple and minimalism because raf simon
love that. BUT minimal its not allow in couture.
Alex Hunley - It felt more like a Chanel show.
stanbalo - aside from the first Raf couture collection, this is another game changer.
The reference to the past was so fresh. Also, many couture clients ordered
the coats which is a no brainer bec they will last you a lifetime and such
heirloom pieces..that is why it popped up again in the SS15 RTW.
JB Couture - So I think I'm hanging my love for dior up fashionistas/fashionistos...I
tried with Raf, but making state worker clothing, and adding 2-3
embellishments just isn't cuttin' for me anymore. He's a great designer,
just not for dior. I'll be setting my sights over on Margiela since they
hired John...
Lucila Vasquez - It's not the collection, it's the production...the music and...eeh...why
can't they just walk around the room or straight? Weird.
sebastian sartorialissimo - It's a shame. We've seen Raf doing so much better than this. The shoes were
sick, though.
Leona Sharif - The music is so annoying, loving the collection!
BrodeurBear - Also folks praising the shoes, notice if you will how hard the professional
models find walking in them....
Ace Referiza - How do they do that? Walking aimlessly in a room.. Astounding. haha
Matt Frazier - Yikes - The clothes look very well- tailored , but that's it. This looks
more like a ready to wear collection than Couture. Pretty much every piece
could fit into a ready to wear collection.
Also, the production of the show was AWFUL. The music was ridiculous and
way are the 5-6 models waking around randomly at the same time??? That
makes it hard to concentrate on the design of any of the pieces. I feel for
the camera guy/girl who had to tape this show.
KYKKE CHANEL - OMG this is amazingly beautiful! Raf Simons is a genious.
Desiree Vieira - loving this collection
Megan Sykes - I adore everything about this A+
Jeffrey Lund - perfect
Tecfob - Too much of nothing
Erich Bouccan - kickass soundtrack***
Margarita Genova - The fans of Galliano would never understand this kind of aesthetic. Raf's
idea is to ''move forward'' & not be nostalgic for bohemian/
baroque-whatever-you-wanna-call-it chic. There is way too much intelligence
in these clothes.
Kevin Salinas - i miss you Galliano !!!
yelii13 - I love this collection💜
Music.. blahh 👎
Teddy Liong - So, the rococo skirt gonna be trend? It's so 200 years ago...but I love
this collection....Good job Raf. And worst music. So lousy..
Nathan Carter - i think they're playing it too safe..there was tons of wearable thing
aimlessly walking around the the space but i didnt see it as a collection
and i dont think the people watching did either there were so many half ass
claps at the end..
Weirdo Ngoc - I can't wait till Jenifer Laurance wears one these... stuff next award
season
TeySeeTS - How half of these designs can be considered as Haute Couture is beyond me.
for example those black dresses with the white print look so average and i
could go on and on.i am not impressed.
Pork Chop - Alexander McQueen and Chanel, all rolled up into one
Ali Z - "This year, I shall popularize front butt! For I am genius!"
Luo Rosella - LOVE this collection, simple, concise yet strong.
VsFashionHolic - The collection Itself is Gorgeous, but the way that models walked was a
Mess..
Libeauty7 - I feel dizzy just watching them walking around, they look like dizzy
cockroaches just wondering around.
annabelle7123 - Is that a long coat or a jacket or a dress? That fur coat must be really
warm... elegant but boring Dior!! I stopped watching it...
lisi liu - chanel?oh non dior?mais c'est chanel
Carducci1959 - Raf Simons ideas for ready to wear work well at Jil Sander, as haute
couture they get lost and look quite miserable.
teenmobs - music list, anyone?
Oscar Milano Mai - Is this Chanel or Dior?
Guillermo Laviere - Perfect. I love the music, title?
mrblf652 - Mostly all these clothes look like ready to wear.
Anna-Sophie J - the use of animal fur is cruel :(
shiny virgo - Raf is amazing! Its these naysayers that don't know what the meaning of
haute couture really means.
Alessandro - I liked the show, I overplayed the music though... the only thing I would
criticize in it, is that after the show I was dizzy from the models walking
in very pale colors against a white background O_O
MiyaSamaCo - This collection is too ugly for words and does not belong amongst haute
couture. Raf has NO ideas. It's certainly not a good sign that he has to
keep using the same tired pointy-toed shoes in every collection.
