vidform - Is this Gucci or Jil Sanders from 1995? When Tom Ford for Gucci was doing
the retro '60s and '70s themes during the '90s, the collections had that
"sexy magic spark" that this collection doesn't have at all. I hate to say
it, but after Tom Ford left, the magic left with him. I like the simplicity
of the clothes even though we've seen this pared-down look a million times
from designers like Calvin Klein, Jil Sanders, Prada and others years ago.
I think the clothes are very sell-able, but I wish the music and the models
had more life to spruce up the energy a bit. The overall mood is dour. It's
missing something. THE IRONY IS, I just watched Ford's 2014/15 collection
and it was a similar look and feel. The only key difference is Ford used
upbeat music and lots of black. It seems that the "depressed look" of the
early '90s is coming back. Time to look sad and plain again.
Enchanteralle - They are very wearable. Some pieces were a bit boring and plain, but some
were gorgeous - like that one dress w/ silver sparkles towards the end.
Would love to own one of those snake skin boots.
